Standard Communities, the affordable housing division of Standard Companies, provided free COVID-19 protection kits and distributed 6,000 meals to residents of Standard affordable communities in the New York City metro area, including the Polyclinic Apartments in midtown Manhattan.
Nationwide, Standard provided free COVID-19 protection kits to approximately 18,500 residents of its nearly 9,000 affordable apartment units across the United States.
Standard employees volunteered to survey the residents’ needs and wants, and organized, and delivered the COVID-19 protection kits, which contained reusable face masks, disposable gloves, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes. The meals were distributed in partnership with Citi and World Central Kitchen.
The COVID-19 protection kits were funded through the Standard + Foundation’s COVID-19 Resident Relief Fund.
