Fort Chaplin Park Apartments, a 549-unit property in Washington, D.C., was acquired in partnership with the Chaplin Hope Tenants Association through the Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA). The affordability of the property was both enhanced and extended, and both the unit interiors and community spaces have undergone an extensive renovation. This renovation includes the construction of a new 15,000 square foot clubhouse and community center, which will replace a facility that did not provide residents the support they need. Additionally, Fort Chaplin Park has the largest community solar array in Washington D.C.
