Carson Towers Apartments is a historic 133-unit property for elderly residents in Pittsburgh’s East Carson Historic District. Prior to Standard’s acquisition of Carson Towers Apartments, all 133 units were at risk of losing their Section 8 (HAP) contracts. The property was acquired using tax exempt bonds and 4% LIHTCs, ensuring the property remained affordable for at least 30 more years. Renovations included modernization of building systems, upgrades to unit interiors, and improved common areas and amenity spaces.
